Aged eight months in a French oak barrel, this beer shared a barrel with our top-selling red wine blend Dusty Vinyl (grenache, syrah, mourvedre). When creating this recipe, we wanted to use a Dusty Vinyl barrel and thought that, out of all the beers we could brew, the Belgian Golden Strong would best match the flavor profile of the Dusty Vinyl. This classic Belgian style pairs perfectly with the oak/fruit notes of the barrel, and the micro-oxidation through the wood barrel adds another layer of complexity.
