Boese Brothers Brewery

Located in a commercial strip mall. Common parking lot out front. Windows only on the front side. High, open ceiling with sheet metal, light fixtures, and sound absorbing panels. Tile floor. New Mexico influenced artwork and a large painted pattern on one wall. Divided bar with twelve stools. Other seating at high, low, and common tables. Three TVs. Fifteen taps, with eight beer choices. Also offers cocktails. Has a kitchen for food. Bottled spirits for sale. Cool, mellow, and helpful staff. Neighborhood joint for a place to eat and get a brew or drinks. The brewpub is in the NE part of town off Tramway, while the production facility is at the Gold Ave address.

A bit quiet on a Thursday evening, but allowed me to sink in and absorb some of their brews. Limited menu, but it really hit the spot. Tried a range of IPAs, and all were quite good.Good service, crowd ebbed and flowed. Better than expected.

I am reviewing the Los Alamos location and will switch it when it is listed. Fair beer, busiest location (on weekends) is Los Alamos. Good service.Worth a stop.

 

 

 

Stopped with a dear friend for a beer while visiting Albuquerque. Nice downtown place slightly off the main drags. Nice friendly interior, good vibe. Service was great as was the Porter I had. My friend had a white IPA he enjoyed. I would definitely go back for the "colonial " style Porter.

Finally got around to checking this place out. The space is pretty nice. Lots of of natural light and it has a familiarity to its ambiance that reminds me of a bar from somewhere in the past. There's some outdoor seating too, which is nice. Bike racks to the side, although they are not secured racks and this is a high-risk area for bike thefts.

The service was good, friendly although the place was dead at 4PM when I was there. Most pints were $4 and they dip to $3 for the 4PM Happy Hour. Pretty sweet prices.

The beer didn't wow me and my initial reaction is to give this place about six months and revisit.

 

Many thanks to Corey behind the bar and brewer Rom for their hospitality. Nice little taproom in the downtown area with a solid selection of beers. They had several beers on nitro and I was a big fan of one of those, their scottish ale. I was also impressed with their XIpa which was a nicely balanced beer. Worth a visit when you are in the area.
