12 oz. can. Aroma of worty bread, sour lemon and a good dose of honey. Appearance is a slightly hazy gold with a foamy head that settles into a patchy skin. Flavor has more sour lemon character, made somewhat more palatable by the honey-like notes; finishes with moderate noble hop leafy bitterness. The mouthfeel is full, oily, and a little astringent.
I usually enjoy most of Monnik’s offerings, but this is a miss for me. This reminds me less of Urquell, and more of something like Sapporo. I wouldn’t go so far to call it a bad beer, but it’s not a particularly enjoyable one.
