A: Amber brown in color with a ruby glow when held to the light. A light tan head on top.
S: Funky and a little sour with brown sugar, molasses, and orange peel.
T: Sour up front with hints of orange peel. I wish this was a little more well rounded, the aroma makes it seem like there might be a little more sweetness to it, and it feels a little one note.
M: Medium dry in mouthfeel, with fine carbonation.
O: Overall tasty, but I was hoping for a little more depth.

Had this from a bottle into a tulip glass at a local World of Beer. Surprisingly flavorful and refreshing.
Murky brown with a nice head and good lacing. The smell and taste had a pleasant sour tartness. Background of warm spice and a bit of funky earthiness, prunes and raisins . A nice beer.

Pours a hazy brown and ruby red color. Moderate to large creamy head that retains well throughout the drink. Plenty of foamy lacing clings to the glass.
The aroma opens with a malty sweetness with notes of chocolate, cream and caramel. This interplays with a musty aroma that is oaky, vanilla, grassy and earthy. There are also notes of cherry, red grape and raisins.
The taste is mostly tart with flavors of sour cherries predominating. However, this is balanced against a malty backbone that has notes of caramel, nutty and bready malts, and a hint of chocolate. Overall, the tartness is not too mouth puckering, as the malt and fruit flavors provide some sweetness. Additional flavors of lime, vinous red grape, grapefruit, raisin, plum, dry cider, light touch of white wine vinegar, and a light peppery spice.
Medium bodied with a soft and lightly creamy mouthfeel. The carbonation is on the moderate to gentle side. The finish is dry with a nice bit of tartness.
Nice Flanders style brown ale that has an accessible tartness and nice full malty body.

12 oz bottle from the Wall of Beer (Clemson, SC; $1.89) with a February 2019 date stamp on the label.
Pours clear, dark mahogany with a touch of orange, topped with a moderate size, semi durable, creamy beige head that leaves a coat of lacing.
Aroma: fruits and berries; wet leather; dried plums; light spices; yeast.
Flavor: tart and mildly bitter. A complex mix of flavors that largely follows the nose. Additional flavors include white pepper and green apples.
Feel: medium body with near medium carbonation.
Overall: true to style with plenty of complexity. Very good-excellent for style.

Brewery Ommegang "Brunetta"
11.2 fl. oz. brown glass bottle,"BEST BEFORE 02 2019 L512420106"
$2.93 @ ABC Fine Wine & Spirits #139, Wildwood, FL
Look: Very hazy dark russet brown body beneath a full head of khaki colored foam. Very good head retention and lacing.
Smell: Mild, grainy and lightly caramelish malt and oak with some even lighter notes of dark fruit and acidity in the background.
Taste: Initially sweetish with the aforementioned grainy and carmalish malt, but the acidity and fruitiness step in immediately. It's not too tart, nor fruity, nor oaky. A moderate bitterness balances it, as does the dryness of the oak, and it finishes dry and vinous.
Feel: Medium-light in body with a moderate, delicately effervescent carbonation and light bite from the acidity.
Overall: A rather lackluster, mainstream, almost watered down version of the style.

Brunetta or Rosetta, they are very similar, Brunetta may be slightly more effervescent. Both have a distinctive dried cherry flavor. Not a beer I would drink over an entire evening, but still a nice change of pace.BTW, Rosetta > Brunetta

Cloudy, opaque brown, with a short tan head that recedes to a persistent film and rim; the aroma is distinctively sweet with a hint of tartness; Mouthfeel is sparkly, nicely carbonated yet smooth; Flavor is subdued yet rich, sweet-tart, not quite as full-bodied as I'd prefer. This is not a beer I would seek out, but if offered I would drink it with a smile.

Murky brownish color. Medium carbonation with just slightly above average body .
Aroma is dried dark fruit /dried cherry. Malt, yeast, sweet sour fruit
Taste is mildly sweet , sour and funky as well. Dried fruit and a little bit of a dryness as well. taste isn't as strong as aroma for some reason but still flavorful
