Ommegang Brut IPA is brewed with pilsner malt and flaked corn and hopped and dry-hopped with Mandarina Bavaria, Calypso, and Citra varietals, followed by a two-week bottle conditioning process to achieve exceptional levels of carbonation. It pours a light straw color with crystalline clarity. Aromas of dank, resinous pine, grapefruit, and pineapple precede a lively effervescence and a crisp, dry finish.

Clear, golden color. Pine, grass, and lemon zest in the aroma. Crispy bitterness in taste. Dry and bitter finish. Have doubts if this new take on IPA will stick around.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a yellow color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of citrus, little else. Taste is lemons, some oranges, dry, mild bitterness. Feels medium bodied and well carbonated in the mouth and overall this is a pretty good beer.

Purchased from Homeland Grocery store in Oklahoma City, poured from a 12 oz bottle into a glass.
Some slightly malty, mostly hoppy aroma. Flavor is very dry (per style) but also some citrus, spices, pineapple, . Crisp very carbonated mouthfeel.

I've only had 1 other brut and I wasn't really a fan, but it's comforting knowing that Ommegang brews one, so it'll probably be pretty good
Pours a hazy pale yellow with a massive (3+ finger) rocky white head that fades very slowly and leaves patchy lacing. Very alive in the glass
A lot of tangerine up front in the aroma, backed up by orange, melon, a touch of honey, and citrusy hops
Starting off the taste, I get some more bitter hops than the nose suggested but nothing too crazy. Some grassy hops mix with light tropical fruit at first, still primarily tangerine with subtle grapefruit. The swallow turns both the fruit and hops up, with the hops becoming oily and resiny, which pairs well with the vinous and acidic notes of apple skin. Light bready malts bring it together for a wonderfully balanced beer
A light medium body is paired with sparkly carbonation to lead to one of the most refreshing beers I've had in a long time. Finishes almost entirely dry and crisp, but there is still some sweet juiciness to it
Damn, this was really good! I never really thought I'd be a huge fan of the style, but now I think I need to search for the more acclaimed examples of the style.

Great look with a bright straw color and lots of bubbles. Billowy thin head. Great light mouthfeel and dry finish. The resinous hop flavor is solid but seems to clash with the rest of the experience.

Ok, where to start? A champagne style IPA...fizzy, light. A brew to have on hand instead of bubbly. Ok in my book. HOG
