750 ml bottle into a snifter. Bought at brewery as part of a variety 3- pack 11/2018, had 9/11/20.
Pours a dark cola color, mostly opaque, with a half inch foamy head and a good amount of foamy lacing. Aromas of lightly roasted malt, cocoa, chocolate, a little smoke. Flavors of malt, cocoa, choc, light vanilla. It’s a little smoky. Smooth, a decent but thinner full body, well carbonated.
Maybe I was having an off night, but there’s really not much to this. Being about two years old shouldn’t have a big effect, but maybe it did. Not my typical opinion of an Ommegang effort.
