This is more like a hoppy pale ale than a Kolsch. It's definitely very tasty and very hop forward. Fairly light and crisp and actually reminds me a lot of Carton Boat beer. I liked it but the price is way too high. nb

Ommegang calls it "a dry-hopped Kölsch with a hop-forward American twist...(with) the juicy flavor profile of modern dry-hops". I call it a hazy NE Kölsch.
L: the color of thin honey with a thick white head. Very hazy with a steady stream of fine bubbles.
S: hops, followed by pine needles, yeast, and a little lemon
T: very hoppy (saaz, mosaic, & huell), some citrus, some juniper, and some herbs I can't identify
F: smooth, moderate carbonation, dry and slightly astringent with a lingering after taste
O: it's not a bad beer, but not what I was expecting and definitely not a Kölsch, way to many hops and too cloudy.
If you like NE IPA's you'll like this, if you're looking for a German Kölsch look somewhere else.
