Served on-tap at Belgium Comes to Cooperstown 2008.
A: The ale has a pale golden color with only the faintest hint of raspberry pink. A touch of head retains a white appearance.
S: The nose is a combination of brettanomyces and raspberry syrup. The brett is mild, throwing off just a touch of tartness.
T: The raspberry syrup is strong, adding a cloying sweetness to the ale. The brett is robust but not on the same scale as the raspberry. It adds a gamey flavor that releases just a hint of puckery citrus.
M: The mouthfeel focuses on the raspberry at the expense of the saison body and brett addition. This is my least-favorite beer from Ommegang.
D: There are other beers released at BCTC that should be released in bottles before this one.
