The juicy sweetness of peaches, the delicate acidity of apricots; closely related, but distinctly different. In Apripêche, we marry these delectable stone fruits into a thirst-quenching Belgian-style witbier, then add just the right amount of a tart Flemish golden ale. The delicious result is an artful interplay of sweet nectar, hazy refreshment, and wine-like acidity.

It sounded good but the application didn't make a real fruity beer with peach and apricot flavor, which is hard to do because the flavors are somewhat similar. Have only had a couple that were really good.

Poured into a wide mouth, grip shaped goblet color is straw gold, head is brighter white and presents 1/2 inch thick, head dissipates to thin ring and some lacing on the glass sides.

Smell is lactic tartness, blended peach/apricot, light malt sweetness, limited/light funkiness.

Taste is blended stone fruit/peach/apricot with lighter apple like notes, tart lactic bite, lightly sweet malt.

Mouthfeel is lower carbonation, moderate sweet and tart middle, low bitterness, lingering light pucker.

Overall a pleasantly tart, lightly effervescent, fruited Belgian ale.

Very pale yellow brew with fast-fading white head. Nose seems subtle at first, however as the beer warms it evinces tart, winelike, perfumy notes. Brisk carbonation. The fruit flavors are delicate -- not ham-fisted as is too often the case with fruit beers. In fact, the peach and apricot notes merge beautifully with the yeast (is there brettanomyces in this?) and grain characteristics; the beer is, indeed tart -- yet also sweet. It is fascinatingly complex. I can not think of a fruit beer that I have enjoyed more. I'm going to get some more of this delicious beer tomorrow. I love it.

Brewery Ommegang "Apripêche"
12 fl. oz can "BB 041722" and sampled on 12/20/21
$2 @ Wegmans, King of Prussia, PA

Look: Hazy golden body beneath a short head of white foam that dissipates almost immediately and leaves behind very little lacing.
Smell: Wheaty malt with some mild apricot.'
Taste: Gently tart and lightly sweetish wheaty malt with notes of apricot, peach, and apple. Limited bitterness, but still mostly dry in the finish due to the soft acidity. Some of both the malt and the fruit linger for some time. Very nicely balanced.
Feel: Light bodied with a soft carbonation, but also some sharpness from the acidity.
Overall: Remarkably refreshing, and completely authentic in terms of the fruit flavors. Very well balanced.

Bought it because I like the brewery but when I pull it out to drink I read it was a sour.
Not as sour as many but tart. Wish there was more apricot or peach flavor or scent.

Poured from a 12 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Hazed medium golden pour with 2 fingers of foamy white head. Solid retention/lacing.

S: Tart fruit... peach and apricot plus a bit of funk.

T.F: Mildly tart... fruity. Summer stone fruit. Peach/apricot/nectarine... a bit of lemon rind and citrus... wheat and spice. Medium to light bodied. A bit on the fizzy side of carbonation. Tart fruit and a bit of funk to finish.

O: A solid tart fruity wheat beer. Easy drinking... nice to have around as the weather gets warmer.

12 ounce can poured into a Duvel tulip glass. Best by 4/17/22.

L---Hazy, bright golden color. Soft, white head with good retention and very nice lacing.

S---Sweet/tart with obvious notes of peach & apricot.

T---Wheat shows up in the taste. But mostly strong peach/apricot. Sweet/tart shows up.

F---Medium bodied with nice carbonation. Juicy & quenching.

O---A really nice offering from a world class brewery. Wifey really liked this one, but she's partial to Ommegang's stuff.

12oz can. Can bottom is stamped "BB 021322 PKG ON L021320".
Cloudy, straw colored body. Wisp of white head. There are particles (fruit?) in the body. Scattered spots of lacing.
Aroma is coriander spice laid over lemon/lime/peach/apricot fruit.
Taste is very slightly tart, with semi-sweet peach/apricot/lemon fruit. Coriander spice and orange peel.
Mouth feel is very effervescent. Excellent carbonation.
Each sip gives me an impression of acidity. It must be the combination of fruits and spices. Very refreshing. As the beer warms a bit, the peach and apricot come more to the fore. The body particles are a distraction.

12 oz can poured into a snifter. Pours a hazy golden orange with a moderate off-white head. Aroma and flavor feature wheat with slightly tart stone fruit. This is a wheat ale first and foremost, a sour second, and a fruit beer third. It is emphatically NOT a fruit puree slushee. A refreshing throwback that I can only hope will become the norm again in some non-dystopian future. Awesome stuff from one of my favorite OG breweries.

Medium light body with about medium carbonation
Aroma is sour ripe peach, apricot, wheat, and mixed citrus
Taste is almost dry,for a beer with such strong fruit flavors it stays away from being cloying sweet. Peach and apricot followed by a grainy whole wheat flour taste. Some bitter fruit peel as well
Perhaps it's not world class but they all dont need to be. It stood out as flavorful and really well done
