Lightly hazy medium yellow, with moderate white head, that leaves a 1/4" ring and some spotty lacing.
Smell is mostly fruity : white grape juice , with a bit of apple, pear and melon. Swirling brings brief flashes of lightly sweet grain. The open can gives some floral/spicy hop aroma.
Taste is white wine (semi-sweet), a touch of grapefruit & lime, some herbal+floral hop flavor, and slight sweet grain (that would be expected in a helles) . Moderate bitterness.
Feel is light, but not watery, slightly slick, with soft carbonation that gives a slight pleasant bite at finish and beyond.
Overall, it comes across as an IPL, rather than a helles. Labeling aside, it is thoroughly enjoyable and worthwhile. Highly recommend giving it a try.

16oz can from Bottle Rocket. Pale golden pour, thick foamy head. Light grainy aroma, grassy. Taste is clean, more soft grainy flavors, with a little tingle of hops at the finish. Superb example of the style.

Clear pale yellow with just a touch of haze, perhaps just chill haze. Foamy white head. Good retention and lacing
Aroma of white wine, white grape, clover, honeydew melon, hay, cracker.
Tastes of white grape, honeydew melon, and clover; balanced well with white cracker and hay. A hint of green pepper flesh. Crisp and quite dry.
Light feel, not watery, well carbonated.
A very great lager overall. Not quite a Helles--too hoppy and too dry. A fantastic lager otherwise, though. Perfect balance of hop influence and sheer drinkability.
