16 oz can from a mix-6 pack at Wegmans poured into a willi becher glass. Pours nearly but not quite pitch black with a light tan head. Aroma and flavor feature light roasty malt, hint of caramel and coffee, and light earthy hops. Mouthfeel is on the thin side. Overall this is easy to drink but surprisingly muted flavors.

16oz can into a pint glass. Best by 11/21/23.
Black body, head quickly fades away. Neutral aroma. Quite smooth feel, roast is light, though seems to build. Decent enough black lager.

Look: It pours very dark brown with a tan head. Head retention is excellent.
Smell: There are roasted aromas with spicy and floral hops.
Taste: It has coffee flavors with light roast and chocolate. It has a spicy quality with some floral elements.
Feel: It has a medium body with a low bitter finish.
Overall, it's a bit hoppier than other beers in the class, but still good.

Very dark brown, with moderate tan head.
Smell is light cocoa, slight toasted nuts (walnut+pecan?), a bit of biscuit, and some earthy and woody aromas.
Taste is brown bread, cola, and a hint of cocoa. Moderate bitterness.
Feel is initially smooth, with moderate, very fine carbonation tingle. Towards finish, the carbonation becomes prickly, and a bit astringent at the back of the throat. Drying sensation at finish, that lingers quite awhile.
Overall good, but that burn at the back of the throat detracts somewhat. Drank the first three fairly soon after purchase, but held back this last one for awhile, in case the beer was too young, or I had some illness/injury issue , that the beer just made apparent. Nope. It's the same now , some two months or so later. That said, I still like it. Smaller sips alleviate some of that.

Poured into a narrow pint glass: color is dark brown to near black, head is light tan and presents 2 fingers thick, head lingers well with lacing on the glass sides and solid top.
Smell is light roast and chocolate, solid base malt, light earthy, grassy hops.
Taste is similar with light roast, chocolate, maybe some toffee, clean base malt, light earthy hops.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, solid bitterness lingering carbonic bite on the tongue.
Overall a very solid schwarzbier - roast malt is present but not dominating and chocolate is aromatic and flavorful but not sweet.

Taste is malt, caramel, brown sugar, grainy bread. Some milk and dark chocolate which comes off just a little sweet.
Interesting tasty beer, carbonation is a little high but otherwise its very good.

L: deep, dark black with the faintest hint of red and a long lasting foamy dark tan head
S: toasted dark bread with a background of coffee
T: roasted malts, crisp toast, coffee, some dark chocolate, a hint of licorice
F: dry with a foamy tingle and a moderate hop bite at the end and a dark chocolate aftertaste.
O: All Hallows Dark looks like a Guinness when you pour it and tastes almost stouty. Ommegang describes it as a “smooth and creamy” black lager and it is that.
All Hallows isn't particularly filling and drinks lighter than it looks like it should. It's moderately dry with lots of burnt dark flavors complimented by the hoppy bite at the end.
Overall all, a very good addition to the schwartzbier family.
