Cloudy, yellow color. Tropical fruits and some herbal notes in the aroma. Well-balanced taste with a malty, juicy start and decent bitterness at the end.

There is a kind of sameness to most of the better NE IPAs I have sampled. I was thinking Ommegang might break the mold, but this is just another of the better NE IPAs. Pours a bright, hazy yellow color out of a 16 oz can into a pint glass. Good size frothy white head with good retention and several bands of lacing on the glass. Aroma and flavor are mild tropical and citrus fruitiness (some pineapple and grapefruit). Bitterness is light and there is a bit of sweetness here. Moderate "dankness from hops but I didn't detect any aromatic Simcoe hops here like the can called for. Mouthfeel is smooth and soft with mild bitterness. Rich enough for the style. A well done NE IPA, but nothing that makes it stand out from so many others I have tried recently.

Look: Pours a hazy yellow with a generous, two finger head of white foam that laces the glass very well. Some yeast sediment at the tail end of the pour from the can.
Aroma: Mellow tropical guava, papaya and gentle graham cracker. Light hints of grapefruit peel spice.
Taste: I like it. Creamy pale malt with a very supple backdrop of peaches, pineapple and guava with just the right amount of peppery grapefruit/lemon pith bitterness. Hints of sweet orange and herbs as it opens up in the glass. A touch of toffee.
Feel: Medium bodied, low carbonation. Substantial but not overtly heavy.
Overall: I like this colab, it's pretty unique. I feel that the character and creative influence of Sloop and Ommegang both came through in their own right, without stepping on each others toes. This is a very enjoyable and extremely well made unfiltered IPA, although I may be biased as my cans were pretty fresh, less than a week old.

Hazy orange color. Tart lemonade comes through. Love this brewery. Everything they do is a winner. Maybe too tart to quench thirst, but still a nice beet

16oz can pours beautifully bright like hazy lemonade into a pub nonic. Juicy upfront with some non-specific fruit bowl qualities, reminiscent of tropical fruit but with some notes of melon and pear as well, with citrus and pine too. There is a textbook execution of a NEIPA malt profile that lends some sweetness. The hops are juicy and shine throughout, there is low bitterness and dryness, with a refreshing and fairly crushable body.
