16 oz can split with my wife, poured into a snifter. Pours pitch black with a long-lasting mocha head. Aroma and flavor feature bitter malt, roasted peanuts, milk chocolate, and more earthiness than sweetness. Mouthfeel is prickly and off-dry. Overall, an interesting and surprisingly well-balanced beer.

16 oz undated can from Greens Beverage in Columbia, SC.

OMG has made an flavored Imperial Stout with clear restraint. The ABV is 'only' 7.5%. While the flavor has a clear note of roasted nuts there's only a little suggestion of peanut butter. On the other hand, this has a solid note of chocolate. More importantly, this stout has a fine, harmonious flavor.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full and creamy smooth body.

Predominant taste is a sort of toasty cocoa, and it is smooth and creamy. I didn’t sense any peanut butter taste, though, nor was it particularly sweet; in fact, it felt sort of restrained across the board.

The pour is a deep black color with a tan & frothy head of foam. The taste is rich roasted malt, dark chocolate, peanut butter, & caramel. Cheers! B

There's no trick with this treat. From the nose to the taste to the finish, this is a liquid peanut butter cup. Ommegang's pastry stout has a nice silky mouthfeel, and the vanilla finish keeps everything smooth throughout. Lone beef is the bottom of the glass got boozy but overall a pleasant dessert excursion.

Can from the packie enjoyed at home.
Inky black with a frothy tan head that persists. Rich chocolate roast and peanuts offset with some earthy spicy hops. Sweet and sticky sipper

The stout part is fine. The chocolate part is a bit chocolate syrupy. Barely any peanut. A touch if I really think peanuts. If anything, the peanut presence that is there might lead to a bit of astringency. Minus points for false peanut advertising.

On draught at the HoCo Brew Hive.
A dark pour with a one finger head that quickly dissipates, and leaves no lacing.
Nicely caramelized malt, borderline cloying, very nice chocolate flavor though, the PB is nicely done, not overdone. A pleasant tangy chocolate finish.
An enjoyable seasonal brew.
Kudos to the brew master for NOT putting pumpkin in this beer!

can taste the chocolate and even a bit of the vanilla but couldnt locate much peabut butter on the palate. its pretty thin, not as creamy as i perhaps expected when i see imperial choc pb stout on the packaging but its only 7.6% so its pretty drinkable. not bad by any means but ive had better variations of this style of beer

Not bad but definitely needs more peanut butter and a little viscosity.

1 PINT can
Served in a stemless wine glass

This beer pours black and is topped with several inches of mocha head that leaves spotty lacing.

Chocolate aroma. I struggle to find the peanut butter.

Chocolate flavor. Not much else

Fuller bodied with a smooth mouthfeel

Decent but fails to deliver on the peanut butter but a good chocolate ale

16 ounce can, no dating that I noticed on the label or can. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch or so tan head. Good head retention, but not much lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells mostly like peanut butter along with some chocolate, vanilla and cream. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there's also some bready/oaty flavors too. It does remind me of a Reese's peanut butter cup but not quite as sweet tasting. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit slick and creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one, wouldn't mind trying this one again in the future since I got this one as a single can.

not a huge dessert beer guy, but this is exceptional, one of the better peanut butter beers ive had, and even though its a bit too early for halloween drinks, its hard to not be impressed with this, the quality is great and there is a lot to like about it. called an imperial but under 8% abv, combines nicely with this being dry for what it is, makes it pretty drinkable, like id have two cans for sure. its roasty and dark but its not real bitter, its smooth and rich without being sugary the way you would expect with chocolate and peanut butter, and most importantly, the peanut butter part of this is amazing, not that powdered dehydrated junk so many of these rely on, this is the real stuff, its even kind of salty to me in the right places, like a reeses cup with the milk chocolate aspect, actual peanuts. i love how this is like a peanut butter cup but isnt very sweet, nice roasted malt balance, cleanly fermented, not loaded with lactose and marshmallows and all the garbage you see in these now, and its also not over flavored, like its obvious what it is but its not too much, bitter baking chocolate and light vanilla and even molasses are also here, lots of body, long and mellow, slick a little bit, almost a tad greasy from the peanut butter part which only adds authenticity to this. obviously this is a far cry from the kind of beer that made ommegang a household name all those years ago, and this feels gimmicky and cheap compared to things like abbey ale and rare vos in cork and cage bottles, duh, but its also really good for what it is, and if these types of things are going to continue to exist, they might as well be made by breweries who know a thing or two about quality. i was pleasantly surprised by this, upper echelon of beers in this peanut butter cup theme for sure and shockingly drinkable as this sort of thing goes. really well done, festive and fun, but also serious beer. awesome.

This beer pours a dark brown color with a tan head that dissipates almost as quickly as you pour. The aroma is sweet and bitter chocolate and maybe a little vanilla, don't notice the peanut butter except slightly in the taste. I've had better.

I don’t normally like peanut butter beers. But this is decent. Really dark head. Muddled brown. Big notes of peanut butter and chocolate. I wouldn’t order again.
