Can from John’s. Plenty of head and opaque. Definitely a pale strong rather than a tripel. And very good!

8 months to BB date. 16 ou can. Best American take on the style I've had.
Notes:
Beautiful appearance: cloudy, thick head that stays to the end.
Smell: Has that Belgium beer smell.
Taste: A lot going on and I can't put glass down.
Light/medium body. 9.5% alcohol is completely masked.
Had it multiple times and still my favorite American take on the style and most American Belgium's I tend to rate much lower than their counterparts in Belgium.

From a pint can, pours a golden color with high clarity and a thick head with decent retention. This settles into a collar that produces some decent lacing.
The aroma is unmistakably Belgian Ale.
Flavor is robust and sharp for a blond, toasted malt and Belgian fruity banana a yeast esters and bubble gum notes punctuated by the 9.5% ABV.
A pleasant mild bitterness on the finish, and vanilla creamy aftertaste.

$3.99 for a 19.2 oz stovepipe can is a good deal for a beer I've seen on tap for $9 per 13oz, glass.
Beauteous, clear golden liquid, dense white head, spatters of lace.
Big nose of bubblegum, banana and clove. Sweet and spicy.
Flavor is ale-fruity and sweet with hop bite on the tongue right out of the gate.
Yeast signature stamped in the flavor profile this is not as refined as many Belgian golden ales from like actual Belgium but very tasty - bold and flavorful.
Body is almost full with a finish that seems more complex than the drinking part.
Nice but I'd still rather have a Duval or Delirium.

Essentially a turbocharged, American version of La Chouffe (one of my desert island beers). The quaffability of a session beer with "imperial" ABV, so only enjoy if you're not going to be driving or doing anything else that requires fine motor skills or cognition. Great option if you're into strong Belgian strong goldens. Could be a tad drier per BJCP style guidelines, and that would be interesting to try.

A kind of golden amber with a nice slightly off-white head. Aroma isn't strong but there's clove, banana, and sweet fruit. Taste is similar but the clove and the sweetness are a lot more prominent. The sweetness is, in fact, a bit too prominent. It's almost bubblegum-like. There's a bit of hops in the finish. Body is fairly light for such a strong beer. This would be great if they could dial the sweetness back a bit.

Pours bright gold with a huge white head that leaves a merrangue island poking above the rest as it all slowly settles.
Big aromas here. Clove, coriander, slight black pepper, green apple, pear, some white grape. As it warms, there's also a bit of honey, cracker, and fresh white bread coming through.
Not surprisingly, big flavors as well. The light fruits hit first this time with banana in the mix as well. Then come the spices, which combine with the fruits into a kind-of spiced apple bread note (just without the cinnamon). My description doesnt do it justice at all, really is a case of whole being better than the sum of the parts. Finishes dry with a mix of candy sweetness, earthy bitterness, and medicinal alcohol.
Medium and very fine carb make for a lively yet smooth feel that dances on the palate. Combined with the medium body and dry finish, this goes down way too easily (and quickly) for the abv.
Overall, this is simply a pleasure to drink. The amazing range of aromas and flavors reminds us that we need more yeast-forward beer in the American craft landscape.

Colorful tall can. Closer to orange than yellow with an excellent head (great lacing). Taste is great. Belgian yeast is fruit but not tart. Not detecting any bitterness (shouldn't be there). Long finish. Doesn't feel like 9.5... the Belgians and their sugar! But it isn't thin. There's some creaminess on the tongue (the oats?) and fine sandpaper bubbles. This is very good.
