Pours an effervescent and bright straw/ gold with a pinky of pearl colored head. Below average head retention lacing
S: Floral & grassy hops, some peach once warm
T: Follows the nose, additionally, there is green melon & a little dryness, plus white grapes up front. More green melon, hints of tangerine & pear as this beer warms up. Finishes with green melon, a little golden pear & dryness
MF: Medium body, firm carbonation, pretty good balance
ABV is well hidden, good for the Cold IPA style, but not one I would pull the trigger on again

Frozen World – from Brewery Ommegang. 16 fl oz can purchased from Franklin Beer Co, Franklin, PA, 24/04/24, $4.50 (Including tax), $ 0.281/fl oz. Reviewed 29/04/24 (Review 3264). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Printed on the bottom of the can “BEST BY 072223”. Stored in reefer at the distributor, 34 degrees at home. Served at 45.5 degrees F in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. The final temperature was 54.5 degrees F.
Appearance – 3.75
First pour – Pale Straw (SRM 2), clear.
Body – Straw (SRM 3), opaque. Under direct light, same. When rear-lite, straw with slight haze.
Head – Average (Maximum 3 cm, aggressive center pour), white, medium density, average retention, leaving a 0.8 – 1.0 cm undulating crown and a thin complete cap.
Lacing – Poor. Just a couple of islands of lacy flotsam.
Aroma – 3.25 – Weak floral hops. No yeast, no malt, no alcohol (8 % ABV as marked on the label).
Flavor – 3.75 – Crisp and lightly hoppy, mostly lemon grass. No yeast, no malt, no alcohol. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. No gastric warming.
Palate – 3.5 – Medium; watery; lively carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 3.5 This is about nine months past date, so having the hoppiness fall off isn’t surprising. Still, the flavor and aroma are pleasing if subdued by age.

16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of biscuity malt, caramel, citrus and toffee. Nice citrusy taste with toasted caramel and a mild bitterness.

Very little body and thin on taste. Disappointed for Ommegang on this one. Neon rainbow kicks it's a**.
