A dark amber with tints of a reddish cherry and a beige head. Standing out is a faint sweet and fruitiness in the smell. The taste additionally brings the malty notes and the mouth feel is very light and smooth for the abv so it is extremely drinkable.

Poured from a nitro can into a large snifter
Appearance – Being a nitro pour the beer pours a deep ruby color with a cascade of nitro bubbles seen streaming up through the brew. As time goes on the nitro bubbles rise to the surface creating a thick foam head with a light red tint. The head has a great level of retention, fading very slowly and leaving thick rings of foam on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is huge of a cherry sweetness mixed with nice notes of sour raspberry and some bready smells. Mixed within is some of the traditional Belgium aromas as well, with a good showing of yeast and some spice of clove and coriander. Notes of caramel and a bit of candied sugar are in there as well, rounding it all out.
Taste – The taste begins with a creamy biscuit malt flavor mixed with a good showing of the cherry that was in the nose. At the same time some of the candied sugar and caramel are there as well, adding a sweeter dimension with the cherry. As the taste advances more and more yeast and spice join in, all while notes of a light funk come onto the scene. Toward the end, there is an increase in the cherry and alcohol presence with some light hay, leaving one with a nice warming and rich taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – As may be anticipated, the nitro pour gives it a very creamy and smooth feel.
Overall – A nice pour for the three philosophers. I think the original, with the carbonation, may be slightly more appropriate, but overall, it is still a very nice brew and fun to try in the nitro format.

You know I love three philosophers, but not this one. I think the nitro really just doesn’t do this any help at all. Like nitro Guinness is a great because it’s flat, but it works. Nitro 3 philosophers doesn’t and shouldn’t. A Wildly different brew but I don’t want that similarity in this style. Regular version has more natural carbonation. And that’s why it is a world’s difference from this in a much better way. Not happy with this one.

Pours ruby with a thin khaki head, ok retention a few spots of lace.
Dried cherry, dried red plums, a bit of caramel and stewed fruit with sweet spice aroma
Caramel malt, red stone fruit, clove and white pepper flavors
Medium-light bodied, slightly sticky, feel flat and flabby
I prefer quads to be somewhat lively. Drinking this nitro is like fucking a fat girl that doesn't move missionary.

Three Philosophers Nitro has a thin, creamy, ivory head and a dark, rust-red appearance, with minimal lacing. The aroma is of spiced, cherry bread. The flavor is of that element, with brown bread crust. Three Philosophers Nitro has a moderate sweetness, with strong tartness and strong bitterness. It has a medium body and a dry finish.

Poured into a glass from a can. It has a nice dark amber color with a full creamy head. Sweet aroma of caramel and cherry. The taste was kind of dull not really a full flavor of what I was expecting. Along with a flat smooth texture

Interesting brew. I'm not a big fan of this style of beer and thought I'd expand my tastes in a weak moment. So I bought one to try and to my surprise it was pretty good. When I poured it there was almost no head but I'm not sure if that's the style? Not a color I am familiar with but hey, what the heck. All in all I would buy another one in a weak moment and wait a week or two to build courage before I tried it and hope for the best? Glad I tried it.

Pours dark amber, slightly murky appearance into a chalice from 16 ounce can. 1 finger of creamy off white head. Aroma of rains/dates and dark bread. Taste follows. Mouthfeel is full and chewy. Enjoyed this quad.

16oz can into a pint glass. Canned Nov 2024, so 6 months old.
Excellent looking beer. Deep brown & burgundy body. Small off white head persists throughout though not much lacing. Nitro effect? Aroma is mildly malty. On tasting, smooth and velvety, the cherry aspects builds to a crescendo in the finish. Abv hard to detect. Dangerously drinkable beer, probably lucky I only have the single can.

Look: It pours clear brown with reddish hues. It has a creamy tan head that has good head retention.
Aroma: It has cherry aromas and cherry pipe tobacco notes. There are some sweet caramel notes with hints of plums.
Taste: It is sweet with cherries and rich caramel malt. There are also raisin and plum flavors.
Feel: It has a medium full body that is a bit syrupy in the finish. It is sweet from start to finish.
Overall: It has plenty of flavors, but it is a little more sweet than I would like it.
