Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a dark amber-orange color with a small head of white foam. The head fades fast, leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a nutmeg and clove smell mixed with a lightly roasted pumpkin smell and a bit of biscuit. Along with these smells comes notes of cinnamon and some light caramel and a little bit of toast and bit of toffee.
Taste – The taste begins with a light roasted and toasted [pumpkin flavor mixed with a little bit of biscuit and some light dough and grain. Along with these tastes, comes a bit of cinnamon as well as notes of wood. The flavors dry out a bit as the taste advances, all while the spice increases, leaving one with a overall over spiced, but still approachable pumpkin taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium to slightly thicker for the abv, with a moderate carbonation level.
Overall – A bit too heavy on spice, without enough malt and sweet to balance, but overall not too bad, a worth a try.
