Many thanks to Cherise of Duvel for sliding me one of the last few kegs of this baby. The hoppiest beer Ommegang has brewed today, in collaboration with Barrier Brewing for Sandy relief purposes. Top notch fellows on all accounts.
A: Poured into Brooklyn Brewery tulip glass. bubbly 2 finger head w/close lacing lines. Hazy yeasty w/golden base
S: Yeasty(brett) followed by hop aroma.
T: Not a hop bomb by any means but a sustained bitter finish. The nose is much stronger.
M: Quite light & slippery.
O: An excellent beer for the style, on the milder hop sting pallet regardless of the IBU level.

Served on-tap at Beer Authority in New York, NY
A: Pours a lightly hazy medium golden yellow in color with moderate to heavy amounts of visible carbonation and some lemon yellow highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense white foamy head that slowly reduces to a thick film covering the majority of the surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: There are light to moderate aromas of fruity malts with some spicy yeast underneath a stronger aroma of citrus/orange hops. There are some hints of pale malts and just a touch of earthiness.
T: Upfront there is a light amount of pale malt flavor with some more moderate amounts of fruity sweetness. After that, there are some spicy and peppery notes from the yeast and a moderate flavor of citrus/orange/lemon hops. Light to moderate amounts of bitterness which linger slightly in the finish.
M: Medium bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation. Light amounts of dryness in the finish.
O: A good example of the style (though perhaps a touch over carbonated or perhaps that could have been the fault of the bar) and easy to drink. Happy to purchase one of these since it helps with a good cause and it was easy to drink.
