As near as I can figure, this line is now contract brewed by Stevens Point. The ownership bounced around a bit, but I still see this turning up on the shelves every once in a while.

This beer would be better off calling itself a bitter, as it really had little attributes of a pale ale. Mild malt, with some butter and a good deal of caramel. Hopping was insubstantial. Move along folks, nothing to see here.

The local brewpub that I tried this at has closed down...some folks just can't handle good beer and have to have the mass produced crap IE (Bud, MIller, Coors etc) Oldenburg does bottle this beer and if you are a fan of pale ales or for that matter any style try their beers. This particular one was very hoppy for a pale but that suited my tatse just perfect.........CHEERS
