American Double IPA, rested on toasted coconut
If you like PiƱa Coladas and/or getting caught in the rain you're probably gonna be feeling this beer. If you don't like either of those things, well that sucks for you. We still recommend ordering one.
Hops: Nugget, El Dorado, Azacca, Citra
Malts: Brewers Two Row, Munich 10L
Yeast: East Coast DIPA
Other: Toasted coconut, flaked barley, dextrose
IBU: 75
OG: 1.070

On tap at Whiskey Road, Cedar Falls, IA. Hazy, golden color, controlled pour to minimize head (unfortunately). Although there is lots of toasted coconut up front on the nose and palate, the base beer is very good and works well with the coconut. Pine, citrus, orange, grapefruit zest, light malts. Substantial mouthfeel, with just the right amount of sweetness for a good balance. Quite a bit of bitterness lingers around on the finish. If you don't like coconut, you won't like this at all. Otherwise, an outstanding and well-crafted beer.
