16oz can, snifter glass. Golden yellow body, hazy and pulpy with a one finger white head, fair retention, little bit of lacing. Smell is overripe canteloupe and grapefruit, a bit of herbal spice and resin, mild-moderate caramel sweetness, slight sugar. It's a fairly melon and herbal spice-forward hoppy beer. Flavour follows, a bit less of the caramel and more of the white sugar, melon and grapefruit, a bit of slightly bitter canteloupe rind. Not too complicated, but the flavours pop nicely. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, good carbonation, all appropriate for a double IPA, with a mild herbal bitterness.
