How We Get Along is a blend of imperial stout aged 36 months with a barleywine aged 29 months in Heaven Hill barrels. Collectively, this is the oldest blend we have ever put together. This blend has been resting on Ugandan vanilla and Spanish Marcona almonds. A collaboration with our friends at Horus Aged Ales.

A really great balance to this. Notes of Madeira, raisin, & vanilla bean. Time in the glass brings chocolate syrup & ginger snaps. Palate a great balance of molasses, dark chocolate, & a mild bitterness from the almond. Finishes w/ bread crust & firewood.

Tar black with no head while staining the glass brown yet leaving clear wine-like legs behind.
Viscously syrupy thick, chocolate douses the tongue up front, but that immediately recedes to a sort of toasted toffee that almost develops into a Butterfinger character, though backed by an emerging char that accompanies notes of fig and maybe even port-like qualities.
Even though it's a little sticky, it's also chewy dry.
