Decadent, viscous stout base tasting just like it advertises; chocolate coconut cake on the nose, with the palate bringing a perfect balance of rich chocolate and toasted coconut balanced by a slightly bitter nuttiness and warm, oaky barrel on the tail.

Stark black with a beautifully present head of dark mocha that retains stunningly well for a barrel aged glop stout.
The toasted coconut is simultaneously syrupy, amping up the decadence of the overall profile when colliding with a really chocolatey, nutty finish, overall truly emulating a well made cake with a bit of wafer. PASTRY BOIS UNITE!
Stepping back, this was honestly impressive. I was expecting some gripping cloy and biting acridity, but it really was well-balanced considering the excess. The frothy, medium-full body was also very pleasant on the palate without being sticky at all, which is even more impressive.
