Imperial pastry stout made in collaboration with our friends at 3 Sons Brewing Co. in sunny Florida. Sundae Scoop is ann ice cream themed pastry imperial stout with macerated strawberries, Indonesian vanilla skins, vanilla sandwhich cookies, hazelnuts and cacao.

Neopolitan ice cream hits immediately on the nose; nutella emerges increasingly with time in the glass. The palate brings a good viscosity, with a mellow tartness from the strawberry leading the way for notes of vanilla ice cream and dark chocolate. The hazelnut isn't as prevalent on the palate, but does influence the experience with a bit of lingering bitterness.
Overall, Pulpit Rock is probably my favorite brewery in the pastry game right now, and this offering is no different. Nailed the intended profile, and really did an expert job of balancing each adjunct appropriately.
