Love this beer! It’s a great flavor and seems to be one of their best sellers. I pick up this beer all the time. It never lets me down. Give it a shot if you happen to stumble upon it.

A- 12oz bottle pours into a tulip with a very cloudy, almost murky orange-copper body. The head is white with a thick and creamy consistency rising up to one finger high with pretty good retention. Lacing is plentiful with a wide sheet at the top followed by plentiful spots below.

S- Sweet orange and citrus hops off the top combine with the spicy rye and semi-caramelized grains. Notes of grapefruit, floral hops, herbal hops, toasted barley and even a bit of nuttiness.

T- Sweetness is the first thing that comes to mind with sweetened orange peels coming from the hops and caramelized grains producing a true sweet flavor. Besides the oranges, the hops bring grapefruit, floral, herbal and spicy tones which are balanced out by toasted barley, pale fruit esters like apple/vinous grape, yeast bread and spicy rye bread.

MF- The body comes out with a moderate overall thickness a texture that is quite silky. Smooth with a medium level of carbonation and a bittersweet finish. Rye adds a classic silkiness.

Both the rye and the other choice of grains ends up being somewhat distracting in this case. The ferment also adds some uncertainty with pale fruits further muddling the flavor profile. In the end the citrus and floral hops just don't play amazingly well with the sweet, toasty, spicy grains and the fruits left from the yeast.
