Poured into a 16 oz Nordic pint glass, not sure when it was canned. Pours a very hazy yellow orange with a half finger white head that leaves a little lace behind. 3.75

Smell is clove, coriander, maybe honey, vanilla, and chai. 3.25

Taste follows clove, coriander, honey, vanilla, and chai. 3.25

Mouthfeel is almost medium, gentle carbonation, and 5.8% drinks rather easy. 4

Overall not my thing, a doctor I work with gave it to me, so I figured I would give it a go. Just kind of a odd beer, but not bad. 3.5

My last foray up to BOS saw me staying in nearby Everett & paying a visit to that city's Total Wine & More. Such visits become CANner, not banner, days for The CANQuest (tm) as I CAN usually find a buncha new CANs to review & rate. This was no exception!

From the CAN: "Honey Tinged White Ale"; "We took our Honey White and infused it with custom blended Chai spice to make a beer that will carry you through winter into spring!"

I did some in-CAN agitation before Crack!ing open the vent just to ensure that all of the adjuncts were in suspension. This led to some mild foaming through the vent, but it was still under CANtrol. I went with a slow, gentle C-Line Glug, CANtinuing to agitate the CANtents as I poured. The end result was two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with excellent retention. Color was a cloudy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5). Nose was heavily spiced, but it was a different spiciness than what I normally exbeerience in a Witbier. It was clear that at least part of its spiciness was due to the inclusion of adjuncts and not simply from the yeast strain. Regardless, it smelled yummy! Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was really mellow, spicy without being over-the-top with a light honey sweetness to reinforce the mellowness. Finish was semi-dry & I was a little surprised that it was not drier with all of the added spices. This was quite easy to drink and I drained it off without even a seCANd glance backwards. Yum! YMMV.
