On tap at Warp and Weft
Pours a lightly hazy dark golden color with a decent sized bubbly white head that persists. Bready toasty maltiness offset with bits of earth citrus and floral hops. Light astringency, light clove.

Further proof of The CANQuest's (tm) backlog. I purchased this during my last visit to BOS & its suburb of Everett, returned to LNC to take the approved photo, add it to the database & put it in my reefer until now. Grr.
From the CAN: "23 IBU".
A pair of "5s" to open?!? This sets the bar pretty high for this beer before I even Crack! open the vent … Just sayin'. Having acCANplished that initial action, I went with a slow, gentle Glug into my awaiting glass. I was very happy as it formed just over two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, eggshell-white head with very good retention of its own acCANd. The head slowly fell away, leaving plenty of lacing in its wake. Color was Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7) with NE-quality clarity, calling forth The Gelt Gang of Croesus, Mammon & Midas, all CANmoring for a taste. They did not have far to come since they are CANped out in my living room for the duration of the NHL playovs. Their three loves are gold, beer & hockey & they know how much I love the latter two so they have a standing invite. Nose had a spiciness almost as though they had employed a Belgian yeast strain in its fermentation/production. Duvel, perhaps? Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was very spicy & very evocative of Duvel! I added this blindly since the brewery's website did not have any information. Could this be a Belgian Blonde Ale? I still have no idea, but now, I am intrigued! It had a pronounced yeasty spiciness throughout, kind of peppery while also evincing notes of clove & coriander. I CANnot believe its low ABV given its powerful tastes! Is this what they intended or did my inadvertent cold aging bring this about? Either way, I was duly impressed. Finish was spicy & very dry as a result. Mmm. YMMV.
