Do you feel like last summer was 100 years ago? Us too, but we think it was worth the wait for one of our favorite brews of the year. This pre-prohibition style lager is made with 6-row Pilsner malt, flaked and cracked corn from Hudson Valley Malt, spicy hops from Pedersen Farms and our house lager yeast. 100% of the profits of this beer go to support the work of our friends at Teatown Lake Reservation, Nature Preserve, and Education Center.

16 oz can purchased at the brewery. Catching up on notes from July 2021.
Straw to pale gold. Brilliant clarity. A big, creamy white head rises well above the lip of the glass.
Corn is strong in the aroma, with a big blast of floral hops to match. A little citrus mixed in for good measure. Flavor is geared towards hops but the corn sticks around and refuses to go away. Medium-light bodied with a touch of sweetness in the finish. Clean and bitter.
All of the Landscape Series beers I've had over the past couple of years are of the highest quality. This one is no exception.

Pours a clear straw color with visible carbonation. A frothy layer of head retains well.
The nose opens with notes of corn followed by aromas of clean cereal grain. I also pick up subtle notes of earthy and grassy hops.
A clean and crisp malt base evokes notes of lightly toasted bread and cracker supported by a very modest corn sweetness. Well balanced with grassy and bright lemon flavored hops and spicy yeast. It has a controlled yet assertive bitterness.
Light bodied and crisp, with a crisp and clean finish. The carbonation is moderate to slightly lively.
Summer Landscape indeed! This crisp and easy quaffing American Lager is just about perfect for a hot summer day.

A: The beer is crystal clear light yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of corn are present in the nose along with hints of grassy hops.
T: The taste follows the smell but has a bit stronger flavors of grassy hops as well as a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is like a craft version of a lawnmower beer as it has a pleasant dose of underlying hops and associated bitterness.
Serving type: can

Canned May 24th, ahead of Memorial Day Weekend. Reviewed Sunday the 30th. Poured into a shaker pint.
L: 3.5 Very pale in coloration, but superb clarity. Moderate carbonation. Thin head.
S: 4. Grainy. Lemongrass. Nothing off putting you might encounter on the nose from an American Lager.
T: 4. Super clean. Light floral character. Corn. Hints of malt and maybe some rice on the back end.
F: 4.75 Very light mouthfeel. This is a perfect Summer crusher.
O: 4.25. What's there to say about the Landscape Lagers that hasn't already been by this point. Go out and grab some.
