First impressions of the aroma will give you tropical notes of pineapples, peaches and apricots. The presence of hops is dominant and slightly lingering in this full bodied double IPA.
Hops: Azacca, Citra, El Dorado, Zeus

16oz bottle, bottled on 10/10/17, poured into shaker pint. Poured a clean, clear gold-amber color with a half-inch of just off-white head that decent retention and light lacing.
The aroma was fairly well balanced between malt and hops.
Very similar on the tongue, maybe the hops were brighter when the beer was fresher.
The body was on the solid side of medium and had a neutral finish, with a bit of hop bite.
Drinkability was good, even with 6 months on it, it went down easily. Overall, a nice enough brew, but I suspect that it was better fresher. Still, I'll recommend it.

Body is a deep deep amber that's almost true copper with a murky quality. Topped by a smattering of wet fuzzy head.
From afar the nose delivers on the promises made by the bottle: sweet tropical and stone fruits touch an almost floral gentle undercurrent. Sticking my nose in the glass I was surprised by how tart it seems. Almost a hint of funk to be found. I swear there's a whiff of parsley that's hiding in there too that wasn't present initially. Not as weird as that makes it sound though.
Flavour is very unique. Yes there is some almost berry sweetness and a thick mango husk. Seems a little boozier than 8%, but not in an astringent manner, just conspicuous. While it's listed as a double IPA, it's origins as a triple are still apparent. I'm having a hard time pinning down specifics.
Full bodied indeed, and leaves a lingering note of stone fruit and resin from the hops that is really quite pleasant. An interesting one in a couple of ways, but I ultimately find myself enjoying it quite a bit.

Pours yr typical golden Amber IPA with good bit of head on top. Aroma is wonderful, fruity and tropical. For a TIPA the taste is so smooth and oddly light. Not a malt bomb here. Finishes a bit wet with a pleasant sweetness that lingers just a bit. Damn good TIPA.
