Clear golden amber brew with abundant foam in the Hopleaf goblet. There's a decent aroma of citrus and pine. It's actually fairly malty but that gets elbowed aside by the bruising hops. Some lime flavors but the long, long aftertaste is all grapefruit pith.
This reminds me of the first beers I tasted when "session IPA" became a thing. Watery yet harsh, overhopped, and mercilessly bitter. And it's still five percent which should buy you some room for something mellow. From the 32 oz growler filled at the tasting room.
