Served in 16oz can glass. Poured completely solid black color with 1/4 inch of tan head that had low retention and lacing.
The aroma had a solid grain base and a notable amount of roast. Similar on the tongue, just fuller and better defined. The roast was very strong, yet not approaching burnt or coffee.
The body was fairly typical for the style; full, fairly smooth (with just a bit of coarseness from the roast), and had a dry finish. Drinkability was good, you could knock back a couple of these over an afternoon or evening. Overall, a nicely done, solid, and enjoyable brew. Try it if you see it.
