Clear orangey dark amber in the chalice. Plenty of foam and a lively mouthfeel. Grainy aroma with pine and green herbs. Tangy and sweet, but not overly sugary. Thickish mouthfeel. Flavors of caramel, apple, grapes, and sweet bread. A little peppery and just a hint of bitterness in the finish. This is the classic Maibock flavor profile but unaccountably stronger than usual. But a great sipper with plenty of flavor. From the 32 oz growler filled at the brewpub.
