Clear dark brown in the goblet with abundant foam. Pleasant charred grainy aroma. The mouthfeel is actually kind of awful, it's so prickly and overly sharp, then harsh back in the throat. The flavor starts out so nicely with a hint of sweet malt and cocoa, but then it turns burnt and somewhere beyond bitter. I can't tell if this is hyper-carbonated or it's just so dry. This one calls out for some science experiments. From the 32 oz jug filled at the brewery tap.
