Note: This is more a fruit beer than a witbier. I have categorized it as a witbier because it is labeled as a blanche, and there is no mention of fruit on the front label.
A-Poured a hazy yellow-orange with virtually no head.
S-Unpleasant surprise...expecting your typical biere blanche witbier character, a strong aroma of apricot, guava, lychee, and other tropical fruits completely dominated the nose. I can't pick up any redeeming qualities, and the "tropical fruit extracts," as they are called on the list of ingredients, have my undivided attention. so I can't even discuss the blanche base. If you drink beer because you like the taste of beer, it's terrible.
T-Same story. Guava on the palate and a strong apricot aftertaste. There are no perceptible "off" flavors in this beer, but the fruit extract is unwelcome, and frankly ruins the beer for me.
M-A noble attempt at balance, adequate carbonation.
D-I have no idea what they're going for. Recommendation is to relabel as a tropical fruit beer, or better yet, brew without the fruit extracts to produce a blanche. But even as a fruit beer, the evaluation would not be very different, as I find it undrinkable. At 3.80 euros/bottle, this is an expensive mistake.
