From a tall aluminum can, wrapped label. The beer was a bit of a gusher. It is a dark brownish, almost back beer. The aroma is toasty, with some coffee and grain qualities. Medium body. I had to search to find the maple, but it is there. Just okay.

Pop the top - nearly a gusher, so rush to get it in the glass, and the head has that big soapy bubble look of a gusher, including in the can. It does have the black body and tan head to style, but it took 5+ minutes to pour this. When my wife says, “Why is your beer so foamy,” you know something is amiss.
The nose is toffee, char, coffee, and the slightest bit of maple, and those aromas translate to the taste, but the carbonation is SOOOOO spritzy, it’s distracting.
A stout should be creamy, IMHO - or at the very least, it shouldn’t drink like champagne.
This approaches that, which is unfortunate, because I think there’s a pretty good beer buried in this spritzy stout.

On tap. Poured an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It smelled of coffee with a decent maple aroma. Nice roasted coffee taste with a touch of sweet caramel.
