Other breweries might refer to this standard Double IPA as double dry hopped. We just think it's a sensible amount. Dark, resiny, and full bodied. Full of all of those hops you love.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color—too hazy to see if there is any visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that gradually died down, leaving some patches of bubbles on the surface, a collar around the edge, and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of citrusy and tropical fruit hops are present in the nose along with dank notes of pine.
T: The taste follows the smell and is dominated by flavors of dank flavors of grapefruit, mangos, and stone fruit along with notes of pine in the finish. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is incredibly drinkable for an Imperial IPA as it isn't really that heavy on the palate and any traces of alcohol are well hidden from the taste.

Picked it up at the release. Canned the day prior on 03/09/18.

The pour is a very hazy, murky orange. Looks a lot like a pulpy orange juice without the pulp. Almost no head forms on the pour. Good bit of bubbles in the beer though. Little bit of lacing comes down the sides as you drink.

Could smell as it was being poured. Extremely fruity. Grapefruit, mango, kiwi, so many tropical fruit aromas. Hops are abundantly floral in scent. More melons and canteloupe. Just incredibly fruity.

Much like the nose, loaded with ripe fruit flavors. Mango, melon, kiwi, so juicy. A balanced hoppy bitterness slams against a bready malt backbone. No hint of the alcohol level at all really. Flavor mirrors the nose fairly well. Gets pretty "danky" as the beer warms.

Mid to full bodied IPA with a tickling carbonation. Again no hint of alcohol. Does feel like you're drinking a carton of orange juice but with carbonation.

The drinkability factor on this is very high. Doesn't feel at all like 8.5%, drinks fairly easiliy, and fits the NE IPA style. It's not the best example of it, but I feel Stickman fit what they were trying to do. It's a juicy double IPA but they did a good job in balancing the bitterness, hence the "Sensible Portions"? I hope this gets made again.
