I am SO excited to be embarking on a brewery horizontal with these guys in support of The CANQuest (tm)! They have great word-of-mouth among the locals & I keep meaning to visit, but between COVID-19 restrictions & public trans inaccessibility, this is the best that I CAN do. 8=( I also really dig the simplistic artwork of their labels! This will be my last for the moment.
Speaking of artwork & by extension, semantics, just what is it & to whom are they shamelessly pandering? Is it their willingness to put out hazy, unfiltered beers because that is the hot style of the moment? Or is the dapper Stickman of the label getting ready to be the buxom Stickwoman's Pandering pimp? 8=O
From the CAN: "Shameless Pandering India Pale Ale"; "Blah blah blah hops[/]blah blah blah juicy[/] blah blah cloudy[/]blah blah thoughtful[/]blah aromatic blah[/]blah buzz words."; "It's a Stickman, just drink it."
I have to admit, after these past couple of days with these guys, the bloom has gone off of my rose with them. Seemingly everything that they put out is hazy/cloudy & whether they realized it or not, the preceding verbiage hearkens to 21st Amendment's Blah Blah Blah IPA, which was an ironic statement on the current state of IPAs. Bah!
I beCAN by Crack!ing open the vent on this last CAN of theirs for the foreseeable future. I then proceeded with a steadily flowing C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass since clarity was out of the question. I was briefly rewarded with/by the formation of two-plus fingers of foamy, soapy, rocky, bone-white head that could not wait to reduce to wisps. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 -5). Nose smelled like a lightly-defined tropical fruit smoothie. It had all of the usual suspects, but the mélange was not pronounced enough for me to be able to discern one from CANother. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was tropical fruity, but muted, as though they were afraid to CANmit to CANything too ambitious. Finish was semi-dry, thankfully not at all sweet. I was deeply underwhelmed & a bit disheartened by the whole exbeerience. YMMV.

Pours a hazy straw in color with two plus fingers of pillowy white head that last awhile and leaves sporadic lacing. Aroma is lightly peppery with a hint of sweet malt and some floral hops in the background. Taste mirrors the aroma, black pepper is the dominant note but there is a floral hop undertone and a touch of alcohol in the relatively dry finish. Medium bodied and moderately carbonated. Overall this really isn't a bad beer; I just don't enjoy White IPAs (or white beers of any kind for that matter).
