It came from a tap in a clear pint glass. The color is a dense orange-amber, hazy, but not murky. The head and glass lacing are modest. A soft malt and hop blend makes up aroma. They softly also make up the taste. This may look like a NEIPA, but it drinks more like a muted pale ale. That's not to say there's not a nice hop presence, but it's muted by some sort of starchiness, most likely from oats in the wort. Still, it drinks lightly and with a decent body. Nowhere near a hopslam, as they have been softened, there is still enough that most drinkers that enjoy a hoppy bite in their beer won't be disappointed. Despite the softness, the finish is rather sharp and dry. This may be some sort of hybrid, but it works.
