Poured into a small goblet: color is solid black, head is light tan and presents thin, maybe an 1/4 inch then dissipates to nothing with small bubble spots, limited spots on glass sides.
Smell is moderate roast, moderate chocolate, light vanilla and hint of bourbon and oak like character.
Taste is similar with moderate roast and chocolate flavors, light vanilla/oak/bourbon.
Mouthfeel is low carbonation, moderate sweetness, limited bitterness, some drying.
Overall a bit undercarbed leads to some flatter aroma and flavor than expected, but base stout is pleasant - just want some more bourbon barrel oomph.
