Attractive, crystal clear bright gold with a little bit of head. Malty aroma and taste, with a fair amount of sweetness and just a little bitterness on the end. Light body, just a little bit of carbonation. Like others have said, decent but a little sweet for a pilsner.

It's got a hint of gold coloring, but as with most Pilsners, it's nearly translucent. It is bright and clean looking, with an appropriate white head that endures. The aroma it brings is also clean, of mild hops and malt. The malt comes through a little more pronounced that in most Pilsners. This probably helps create a smooth mouthfeel, but at the cost of an expected crisp finish. It has the mildly bittering hops at the finish, with a little too much malt for the style. Certainly drinkable, but not a standout in the style.

I CAN only hope that this beer is as much fun as the last one that I had from them. It CAN't hurt that they are both for the furtherance of The CANQuest (tm) & that they are both Lagers. I was unimpressed by their hazy ale lineup so this is a ChANce at redemption.

From the CAN: "Young People Fun Party Pilsner"; "Stop taking yourself so seriously. We all look cool drinking beer out of snifters and discussing hop varieties, but sometimes everybody just needs to relax. This unfiltered German[-]style Pilsner with all the classic flavor notes is just the thing to get your eyes off your Untappd page and start thinking about who you're drinking with."; "Stick U"; "It's a Stickman, just drink it!"

"Unfiltered", eh? Hmm. My Crack! of the vent gave me a fingertip spritz due to its being a brimful craft CAN! 8=O I then CANducted a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting Pilsner glass (NOT a snifter!). I watched in rapt fascination as it billowed forth to form two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with excellent retention, resembling a mushroom cloud atop the beer. 8=O Color was an oh-so-faintly-hazy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5). Nose was bready, lightly toasty with just a hint of Noble hops spiciness. I LIKE discussing hop varieties, thank you! Mouthfeel was medium, but big for a Lager. The taste had a bready, malty sweetness with just a kiss of the hops, as the old Schlitz print ads used to read. This was a pretty good interpretation of the style.

Lagers tend to be a Pennsylvanian stock in trade, given our PA Dutch (Deutch - German) heritage. LanCANster County gets credit for the Old Order Amish, but if you really want full-on Dutchie, head northeast into Berks County! As usual, I digress.

Finish was semi-dry with enough residual sweetness to keep it from being dry. I really found myself enjoying this one. It was light & easy-drinking, although big enough not to be simply a lawnmower beer. It CAN definitely go in a cooler bound for the beach or a stadium parking lot. YMMV.

For an unfiltered beer, this pours exceptionally clear — even when served in a nonic pint glass I see zero haze. It’s pale straw with modest effervescence and a relatively short-lived fat finger of near-white head. It does leave some clumpy lacing.

Lovely skunky aroma of sulfur and a light mix of floral and fruity hops.

Nice tasting with sulfur, citrus and bready, lightly toasted malt, all fairly restrained. A kiss of cornbread sweetness and mineral water in the finish.

Light to medium bodied with just enough prickliness from the carbonation makes for a very easy drinking feel.

This is a nicely-brewed, well-balanced, clean, easy-to-put-back beverage that I’d enjoy drinking to excess over a long session.
