I am SO excited to be embarking on a brewery horizontal with these guys in support of The CANQuest (tm)! They have great word-of-mouth among the locals & I keep meaning to visit, but between COVID-19 restrictions & public trans inaccessibility, this is the best that I CAN do. 8=( I also really dig the simplistic artwork of their labels!
From the CAN: "Ladies Who Lunch Mimosa IPA"; "India Pale Ale with Oranges and Champagne Grapes"; "It's a Stickman, just drink it."
I was becoming a bit leery as I progressed through this horizontal as the first two evinced nothing resembling clarity. Hope sprang eternal, though, as I Crack!ed open the vent on this CAN to begin a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. Well, no surprise in that it was deeply-cloudy/lightly-hazy. sigh. It also foamed nicely to form two-plus fingers of foamy, soapy, rocky, eggshell-white head with decent retention. Color was a deeply-cloudy/lightly-hazy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5). Nose was mainly orange citrusy, but there was also an odd grapey vinousness. 8=O Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was like adding white grape juice to Tang, which was something we did as kids to emulate the adults. It was not precisely evocative of a Mimosa, but it was also quite unique in my exbeerience. Its bitterness was rather low, which left me wishing for more, but the slightly tart citrusy vinousness was an unexpected flavor profile. Finish was semi-dry. It did nothing to satiate my hops jones, but at the same time, it was a really refreshing drink. I could probably have a couple/few of these at brunch with my favorite ladies. YMMV.
