OK, it helps a good cause and it's a Stickman, so let's drink it. It starts with a deliberate pour from a pint can into a clear Imperial pint mug. Disappointment begins, as a well chilled brew, with a careful pour, produces way too much foamy stark white head. This is the warning sign that there's too much wheat in the wort. If true, there will be no great aroma, nor body feel. At this point, these are only projections. So, to determine the accuracy, read on. Well, there is a sharp hoppiness to the smell and more importantly, there is some maltiness. Before the tasting, the head has subsided unevenly, leaving an irregular lacing in the glass. That's another bad sign, but it comes down to the last two categories for review. It's not nearly as hoppy as it smells. There are hops within the taste, but it's a New England IPA and that's expected. What is expected and isn't there is a nicely rich, but soft body. This, from start to finish, is too light in body and mouthfeel to be recommended. It is just way too lacking in the areas barley malt contributes, such as rich body, mld sweetness and earthy taste contributions, no matter how little. There may be barley in the wort, but it's insufficient in ratio to make this a good brew.
