A very nice interpretation of a black and tan. Pours out to a dark black in the glass with a decent head. Taste is that of coffee and molasses with a nice hop twang at the finish.

Poured into pint glass.
this is the first black/tan in a bottle I've tried.
Dark color, almost black but looked thin
Smelled the malt and hops, chocolate, pine and mud(?)
Not a bad flavor. Balanced well with chocolate and hops, but nothing special, they kind of canceled each other out.
A bit thin for me, needs more flavor.

It is tough for a brewer to make a good pre-blended black & tan. This brewery made a pretty fair stab at it. Although the beer was pleasant and easy to drink, but neither the hops or malt ever kicked in to provide any real character.
