Very high class meets brew pub feel. Second floor of very posh building with long windows on the side overlooking the whole street, metallic bar with lots of amazing liquors, tons of great whiskey, vodka, gin, tequila, cognac, etc. The brewery in the center can be seen from almost any angle. Many high top tables with a pool of utensils in the middle, a sharing pub feel. Also tons of couches and lounge chairs along the windows for that modern high class city bar feel.

The whole place feels very posh and chic but great beers and pub feel blended in, incredibly unique. 15 taps, mostly exclusive liquid laundry beers with a few other great local beers (no terrible China beers), and a few imports (USA and Norway). Beers are served in the correct glassware, and the cocktails look awesome.
Servers are friendly add very attentive. Fairly knowledgeable, and really seem to pay attention to details for the drinks.

Food is extremely high class, chicken liver crostini, to duck rillette, to truffled fois gras terrine, pate, salmon, homemade sausage, into things like Rueben, seared yellowtail, octopus, prawns, beef tongue, duck nuggets, none marrow, interesting salads, a bunch of good looking pizzas, and even house made pretzels and cornbread. Prices are surprisingly decent for the quality. Higher than most places around, but for this high quality food in Shanghai it's actually very cheap.

Recommended by the manager at the Boxing Cat b/c they pour their beers there. It's location is a little weird b/c it's on the second floor of a building that looks like it should be an office building. Space is very big; we had a group of 11 that had no problem being seated around 2PM. Limited menu at that time but the pizza was very good; great by Chinese standards. Large selection (15 taps) of their own beer plus other Asian micros (Boxing Cat, Hong Kong Beer Co, Slow Boat Brewery, and others). House beer was spot on for style and good. Service was Ok; nothing special - had to wait a little for beers even though the place was empty.

Worth a visit if in Shanghai. Cheers.
