16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours opaquely hazy golden/amber/light green color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of huge tangerine, orange juice, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, grapefruit, lemon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Amazing complexity robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, honey, and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge tangerine, orange juice, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, grapefruit, lemon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, grapefruit, lemon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, honey, and bready malt flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium-plus carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is amazing. Zero warming alcohol for 8.5%. Overall this is an amazing NEDIPA! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the ABV, with the minimally bitter/drying finish. Amazingly soft/pillowy feel. Amazing Citra/Mosaic profile. Insanely juicy hops with slight dankness; perfectly balanced honey/wheat/oat/malts; not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A highly amazing offering, and top tier style example.

Poured a golden cloudy yellow-orange body with good head and lace. Smell is mostly sweet, somewhat tropical fruit hops and sweet, sugary malt. Well-hidden ABV with a pronounced but not cloying honey sweetness with a touch of citric hop bitterness on finish; balance is a little off as beer is more sweet than hoppy but it's still drinkable.

an amazing beer, hands down my favorite brew they had on when we visited the brewery. its a hazy big ipa, trendy as can be, but unique because of the massive honey addition, this really is unique and enormously delicious, i want more right now! looks a bit murky and tired from the tap, but thats really the only critique of this, as the aroma hits me immediately, bright dry hopped citra type hops, and floral honey that is vibrant and buzzing and springy. it smells sweet from the honey, but also wazy and raw like the comb, natural and intense, wildflowers and citrus peel, complex and enticing, bold but not strong, if that makes sense. the flavor is just as good, juicy citrusy hop along with sweet flowery honey, i cant believe how forward the honey is, its almost as bold as the hops and this is clearly dry hopped to oblivion. its not all that sweet in the end for how honey forward it is, the starchy oats in the mash seem to be a catalyst for the flavor without mandating that the sugars hang around. great hop profile here too, simple but awesome, seems to compliment the honey so well. a really compelling glass of ipa, and one of the better hazy ones out there anywhere as far as i am concerned. a little refinement will make this world class, but the flavor is epic!

Per Ascension: "NE style DIPA brewed with German Pilsner, oats, and wheat malt. Double dry-hopped with 10# per barrel of Mosaic /Citra"
Poured from crowler to tulip glass. Ale is golden and clear, with a finger of foam that dissappears quickly. Spotty lacing. Aromas of strawberry, Blueberry, orange, grapefruit, cracker, orange blossom honey. Flavors carry over to the taste, with no noticeable bitterness, lots of juiciness, sticky finish.
It's a good ale but it needs to be, well, reclassified. Despite the apparent inclusion of oats and wheat, there's not much of the NE pillowy body here, and it's clear as a bell. No Haze to be seen. But otherwise definitely worth a visit or two.
