A recent batch, poured from a crowler to little fanfare, only a small dusting of head over a stout that's not as dark or as thick as I expected from a barrel-aged stout weighing in at 10.2% ABV (especially an 800 POUND GORILLA). That said, any hesitation melts away as soon as it gets near my face. Rich chocolate truffles, nougat, a touch of graham cracker and vanilla. Silky smooth but still a thin body. My first experience with Ascension, and a very positive one.
