a cool idea for a stronger berliner, but that part feels a little forced in here, like its maltier and a little more sour than it needs to be, the bacterial element tastes a little stressed, not dirty or stinky or amateurish, just not quite as clean and fresh as i like it to be in this style. that said, the combination of peaches and basil is cool, to my tastes the peach way in front of the basil, which is really only there at the end, but its fresh and natural. the peach is sweet for sure, less peachy in a way, more just sugary, but its resolved before its a problem, and the smell of the peach is killer. the wheat is strong in here, this might have been best left as a basic berliner, but i kind of like the bigger body to it, its just not carbonated enough to be refreshing or anything. not overly sour which is nice, but a nice tang at the end, cool with the basil element. clever beer, like many of theirs it needs some cleaning up, but the idea is solid and the execution is close. these guys are doing some really intriguing beers, definitely check them out if you are in the area!
