Tastes a bit like a sour IPA, mango is tart and overwhelms the hop profile a bit, but the lactose smoothness is really nice. I wouldn’t drink a bunch of these but worth trying.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 3/2019. Pours nearly opaquely hazy deep golden/orange/amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy, lightly tart/tangy mangoes, honeydew, watermelon, mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, light peppercorn/pine, vanilla, cream, cracker, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, mangoes, vanilla, lactose, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge juicy, lightly tart/tangy mangoes, honeydew, watermelon, mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, light peppercorn/pine, vanilla, cream, cracker, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; and mango tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of mangoes, honeydew, watermelon, mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/light earthy hops, mangoes, vanilla, lactose, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and mango tang/tartness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky/acidic/tangy mouthfeel that is great. Slight lingering resins/rinds through the glass. Mildly increasing warmth of 8.2% after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic fruited milkshake NEDIPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/light earthy hops, mangoes, vanilla, lactose, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV, with the mellowly bitter/tart/tangy/drying finish, nicely soft feel. A bit more lingering dryness than expected. Amazing Citra/Azacca profile. Extremely juicy, lightly dank/earthy hops, and balanced mangoes; with a great balanced lactose, and oat/malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and impressively spot style example.
