Fruited sour ale series. Made this time with blackberry and cranberry! Super crushable, excellent tartness and fruit character. You will be seeing a lot of this series from us hopefully year-round beginning right MEOW!

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 2/2019. Pours moderately hazy deep ruby red/pink/purple/orange color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with solid retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big sour/tart/tangy blackberry, cranberry, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of blackberries, cranberries, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big sour/tart/tangy blackberry, cranberry, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and light spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of sour/tart/tangy blackberry, cranberry, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of blackberries, cranberries, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/sourness and tangy fruit balance; with minimal puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/sourness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy/acidic/tangy/tannic, and fairly crisp balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is a fantastic fruited sour ale. All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of blackberries, cranberries, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink, with the modestly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish, not overly lactic. Fantastic balance of super jammy Black/cranberries, and Lacto complexity; with a nice solid pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. A highly enjoyable offering, and very impressive style example for only being kettle soured.
