16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 4/2019. Pours moderately hazy deep golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart/sour key limes, citrus peel/zest, lemon, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, tequila, oak, hay, straw, grass, vanilla, cream, agave, graham cracker, wheat, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of key limes, fruity/acidic yeast, graham cracker, vanilla, lactose, tequila barrels, and pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/sour key limes, citrus peel/zest, lemon, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, tequila, oak, hay, straw, grass, vanilla, cream, agave, graham cracker, wheat, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang; light citrus peel bitterness, and tequila/oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/sour key limes, citrus peel/zest, lemon, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, tequila, oak, hay, straw, grass, vanilla, cream, agave, graham cracker, wheat, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of key limes, fruity/acidic yeast, graham cracker, vanilla, lactose, tequila barrels, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with a fantastic tart/sourness and tangy fruit balance; with no cloying/puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/sourness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/grainy, and fairly acidic/tangy/tannic mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is a fantastic flavored kettle sour! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of key limes, fruity/acidic yeast, graham cracker, vanilla, lactose, tequila barrels, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, easy, and pretty refreshing to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish; not overly lactic. Fantastic balance of vibrant key limes, graham cracker, vanilla, Lacto complexity, and tequila barrel presence/integration; with a great lactose and pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Light residual sweetness with lingering acidic/tangy dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing experimental style example. Tastes just like the dessert.
